I experienced “Paris Syndrome” all 5 times I visited the city, the well preserved architectural wonders and art exhibits were quickly obscured by streets littered with garbage and sometimes human excrement depending on how crowded with african or arab migrants it was. Even in some of the nicer areas of the city these foreigners presented physical hostility towards the women in my group and generally were a nuisance attempting to sell or “give” nick nacks. Locals were totally apathetic and I understand the sentiment when tourists and foreigners have trashed what was one of Europe’s most beautiful cities not too long ago. Current inhabitants aside Paris does have some excellent views and cuisine available, the bakeries are phenomenal by my German standards, really miss the cuis tarte.
